Boo-Cuterie: A Halloween Charcuterie Board

A Boo-cuterie you ask? It’s a lovely little food tray, charcuterie-ish, but make it Halloween. You see what I’m doing now, right? It’s a charcuterie board for Halloween that your kids will love to eat!

There is no one way to make a charcuterie board and definitely, no two charcuterie boards are the same! I wanted to make a fun Halloween food board for the kids this year. They are very into tray foods. See here 9 Tested Ways to Get Your Kids to Eat.
These are some of the supplies you will need but do not limit yourself to these. Let your imagination go wild and when in doubt, add eyeballs to any food you want to pop on your food board! Eyeballs make everything more Halloween.

Directions
The first thing to do when creating a treat board is to use a nice large tray. I bought a natural wood I used for this treat board years and years ago at a grocery store. You can find a similar one here. I love it when people do a snack table with brown paper. If you don’t have a tray, think of using some brown paper or any serving dish you have on hand.
Next, start adding different elements to the board.
First, I made some apple teeth. I sliced the apples, smeared some peanut butter on them, and then added marshmallows. To me, these are just so simple, but my kids think they are hilarious. I aim to please!

Next, I start adding things with similar colors to the board in different places. So I added the white pretzels. Some of these things don’t need prep so you can add how you like and move things until you think it looks nice and full.
I placed the Oreos and then added some fruit and veggies. At the very end, I started cooking the foods that needed to be hot. I used our lovely air fryer to make the mozzarella sticks and chicken nuggets. I then cooked some pizza dough that I cut with Halloween Cookie cutters. If you have kids, which I assume you do if you are here, and you don’t have an air fryer- here is your message that you NEED THIS! We have this Cuisinart one and I love it so much. I cannot even begin to tell you how long I fought my husband on why we didn’t need this. I was wrong.

The last thing to do is add the finishing touches.
*Add some icing and eyes to the Oreos or to the pretzels if you prefer.
*Give the pumpkin a cucumber stem.
*The witch’s fingers aka mozzarella cheese sticks need an olive nail.
*Add a spider! Boo-CUTERIE! And there is meat on this board so it is a charcuterie board!
Make it fun for you and your kids and you can’t go wrong. Everyone will love this Halloween charcuterie board. What’s on your Boo-cuterie?
